What's there to know

I started out this blog yesterday with out really introducing myself. I am a 23 year old female accountant, currently studying for the CPA exam. I currently live in New York City and work at one of the major accounting firms. My goal for this blog is to help me to get my feelings under control by letting everything out during my fitness journey.

See, I have been over weight all my life and have tried every diet that I could stomach. My highest weight was 241 pounds but I was 14 years old and in the 9th grade. Emotionally I wasn't too stable. I began to think that everything wrong with me was because of my weight, but in actuality it's just me, I'm just lazy, which can be changed. As I got a little older my stable weight was 230 pounds. Then the summer before my junior year in college I interned in the City and roomed with a girl who introduced me to the Body-for-Life book (Korin St.---- I owe a lot to you). This is a great book to help people get on the right track towards weight loss.

I began my BFL journey back in late winter early spring 2002. At first I was just testing it out. I started out at 227 and I lost some, then I got sick and dropped down to 215 and a semi-BFL style got me down to 196 pounds. I thought I looked so good that I abandoned everything I learned and reverted back to old ways due to my new work schedule and little money. Fast forwarding to 2004 I was back up to 232 pounds and I gave another stab at BFL with my trip to Cancun as my motivation. I did awesome and lost 20lbs in 2 1/2 months. Go me! I felt great for my trip I even got bold enough to wear a two piece bathing suit (It actually didn't look that bad, I'll have to post those pictures later).

Anyway, now it has been a months since my trip I have lost and gained more weight back and have settled at a nice 202lbs. I know I look better than before but I want to look like a fitness model, eventually. So here today, even though I haven't started my new challenge I will begin it on Monday, January 3. Wish me luck since winter is here and it is definately freezing cold in NY. Feel free to comment on anything that I say in my blog and thank you for reading.
